I do. As inexperienced hunters, I feel the odds of them wounding a deer are higher than maybe an experienced hunter. The last thing I want is a wounded deer as that would be a very bad experience for them. So I bring mine to clean up any messes that are inadvertently created. Oh, I should also say, my daughter gets one shell. I want to teach her that she needs to make that first one count.

The other reason is that then "we" are going hunting rather than you taking him hunting. Taking him hunting has a little component of charity to it that they pick up on quickly.

But I have often wondered why I am hauling that thing out there!
