Pretty good day in the bush. I saw 13 turkeys, two were legal. This morning I had a Jake and a gobbler come in with 5 hens. The Jake was possibly close enough to shoot bit I wasn't going to with the Tom in the field. The Tom never came close than 60-70 yards.
The Tom was kinda goofy looking. Big bird, 10-12" beard, but it was about as thick as a pencil.
you shoulda had the two barrel savage. A 223 woulda worked nice.
