Michigan is poised to have an all-out slaughter of our herd. Last year 522,000 deer licenses were sold. This year we're north of 800,000 and the season doesn't start for 10 days. Each of those 800K deer combo licenses is also a doe permit because it brings in $$ for the DNR who could care less about deer mgmt during COVID. So come the 15th, I'll be the guy hunkered down in a foxhole blind behind the sand bags wearing complete blaze orange Kevlar when the shooting starts.
