Ryan- What's your plans for replacing the floatation from your boat? Especiall from the middle seat that was removed. Considering doing a very similar conversion on my 14 ft. Lund.
I used 1 1/4"angle aluminum for supports under the 1/2" ply and between it I glued 1" closed cell foam insulation board between the supports. between the seats I'll replace the old stuff and fill with the same foam I used for the floor. I found a lot of great info on tinboats.net on what to do. they have a formula for how much foam you need and I think I'm over the minimum by a lil bit.I'd be happy to give you more info if you'd like.
Buschy- I got an 85 9.8 hp merc from my uncle. just been serviced and ready to go. traded my 3.3 with a little bit of cash, he practically gave it to me. hopefully the maiden voyage is next week. fingers crossed!
