Not sure what it is about the 1911's Brent, but I'd do better throwing it at the target. I've shot the 500 S&W and 454 Casuls and hit what I was aiming at. The 1911, not so much.
Probably just a grip shape and size thing for a particular hand or wrist. But I have been amazed by them. Their only down side is the brass chasing you have to do.
My FIL has a bunch of semis of all flavors and makes and I can't shoot most of them worth beans.
I still haven't found ANY pistol that lets me shoot like the movie stars though...
