Guess they all make both good and bad ones . The brand new 77 f350 my dad got with the 390 , was either a hungover monday or lets hurry up and go home it's friday built truck The 2nd motor( first one went thru 5 quarts of oil in less than 100 miles ) toted our pickup camper to Alaska and back in 77 and was replaced again that fall a few months after we got back. After a dozen or so king pins and at least that many power steering pumps , Dad had the bad parts cut off that truck and we have a 1 ton trailer now I've had good luck with gmcs and chevys.
