Smokers are great. Some of the best ribs and chicken I've ever had were done in a smoker.
Made an even up trade today. My Tikka for a Ruger Mark II in a 257 Bob.
My step-dad has chicken on a smoker mastered down flat! I've never, and I mean NEVER had better chicken than he can on the smoker. I can whoop him on the ribs though. Dave had me beat on the ribs, I'll eat all he makes.
