Love the A10's. Wish we would have had them in Nam for ground support. Although the old Douglas A1E's did a fair job with their six 50 Cals and rockets.
GB- I'll bet that old piston engine was music to GI's ears as well as any downed pilot. Sandys were tough old birds and so were the men who flew them. I believe one received the MOH. GOD BLESS and Thank you for your service!
