STan, Think about that. If it drops 20" from 100-200yds, it is going to drop a whole lot more than 30" from 100-300.
For my .45-70, from a 100 yds zero it drops 25" at 200 and 79" at 300. Takes 0.8 seconds to get to 300 yds with a moderate .45-70 load. Just seems a lot longer.
