Actually I can get by with one beam basically over the "kitchen table" from the front wall where you walk in to the interior corner where the wood stove wall meets kitchen wall. About an 11-12 foot beam. We'll select a tree, possibly dead standing (because dry is good) and we'll square 3 sides, top side we'll square deep, sides will be shallow cuts barely enough to square the edges and the bottom or downdard facing side will be left round but peeled.

I got enough tin to cover the ceiling in the main part of the cabin, not the bedrooms yet. (it was on sale but it wasn't free grin )
