It has been slooow hunting for me. I usually see several deer a day, a couple are usually small bucks, but this year the sightings are way down. I think it might be that the weather is just too warm and they're just not moving much.
I did catch a glimpse of a buck yesterday morning as he tailed a doe. The doe froze up and spotted me, I think, and instead of crossing in front of me, she turned and took him with her.
The weather is supposed to cool way down toward the end of the week and I'm looking forward to getting back into the woods with some colder weather and maybe some snow.
