Isn't 5.0 equivalent to the tried and true 302 cubic inch?I grew up on cubic inches but I got kinda lost when the switch to liters was made.

Hi Stan! The older 302 wasn't a true 5.0l, the new one supposedly is. I think to be truly a 5.0, it would be 304 or 305ci.
This isn't the same rascal as the old 5.0's The guys in the maintenance garage I talked to, were saying this is probably the best motor Ford ever made..in recent times anyway. Designed to last 200K+ miles.
The dealership I bought it from builds "show cars" out of the new Mustangs and drives them to different shows around the US. Then sells them the next year. The shop guys are excited about all the goodies coming out for this 5.0l.
