well I couldn't resist anymore, this guy came by and I took him. I saw 2 bigger ones this morning but they were either too far or it was dark and I couldn't get a real good look at him. dad still has a tag so we're going to hold out for a bruiser buck. saw probably 30-40 deer this morning, about half of them were small bucks. this was the biggest of the main group that came by. we watched him for about 30 minutes before I couldn't take it anymore and dropped the hammer. 243 pushing 95 grain NBTs at a little over 2900 fps. bang flop DRT. one of the most memorable hunts to date because I was with my dad in the same blind. he's never been with me when I took a big game animal like that so it was a blast. here is the only pic I have so far.
That sounds like some real, quality family time. The priceless kind that gains value as the years go by.
