East of Hwy 32 is rifle. When they changed it a few years ago, it opened up everything west of 32 and north of 10 to rifle. It was quickly changed back.

I don't think using a shotgun makes you a sloppy, slug lobbing idiot. And in my experience the times I have hunted rifle zone in open country, I've been twice as careful and contentious as the rifle hunters I was with. Namely ND hunters that were pissed at me for not taking a driven doe as it ran out of river bottom and across a field with scores of houses in the background.
