Tom, I understand that ! It was the frustration that really was killing me as well.
From personal experience - Careful of what you wish for, as D-day arrives in a hurry.
We did all of our stuff in 3 months - seems like a long time when you say it, but boy, were we battling right to the end (apart from the odd game of golf).
