Took a little trip into the earth today. 800 feet down in 1.25 miles. To say it was steep would be an under statement. Carlsbad Caverns NP. Going on a ranger guided tour in the morning. I will post pictures as soon as possible. I think my knees hurt a little tonight. I did cheat and take the elevator back to the surface.
On a side note we drove in snow until we got within 20 miles of Carlsbad N.M. It did get to about 50 degrees this afternoon.
