I've loaded with the Hornady #30303 150 SST300 Savage (Hornady designed it specifically for the 300 Savage), Speer 150 FN, Speer 150 RN, Nosler 150 Partiions and Remington 150 Core-lokt. The Hornady #30303 and the Speer 150 RN shot the best groups (1" and 1.25") in my 1946 Savage Model 99EG. Those Speer 150s are short enough that they don't seat below the base of the short 0.220" neck of the 300 Savage. Any of these will do fine with whitetails. This year I'm taking this 1956 99F 300 Savage the stand.
