FWIW, the MS260 (now the 262 I think) is their small pro-line saw.
The MS360/1/2, and MS460/1/2 are the mid-size pro-line saws.
Without getting into all the exceptions, the 60-series (26x, 36x, 46x) is the pro-line. So a 260, 261 or 262 is a stronger saw (power to weight) than a 290, 291, etc.

When they updated the 026, it became the MS260, then the MS261, then I think the MS262....so if you're shopping for a saw now, the best saw in each respective size would be the MS262, 362 or 462.

MS262 will cut circles around the Farmboss (MS290) day in and day out.
