Yeah, I hear ya. We have considered all of that and for various reasons we kept defaulting back to 6'. one of the biggest reasons being that we like having the fire ring out in front of the cabin and don't want to crowd the ring with he porch, we also don't want to move the ring out any further because then it affects our parking and vehicle turn around area.
