Took the boy to our deer camp in WI and did a little scouting and a bunch of work. There's no question about it...he worked his butt off. And slept the whole way home.
This is fun for both of us because it's a new spot not really hunted by us. I did last year a bit but never really got into a bunch of spots. We're not digging deeper into the woods, putting up more cameras and learning some patterns. And Jack is learning how to be a woodsman, learning some deer movements, patterns, wind directions...fun stuff.
We do have a ton of daylight pictures of small bucks too. There is one daylight pic of a real nice 8pt, width to the ears and heavy rack. He's pretty fired up about that one!
